Job Description

The Opportunity:



To provide basic ad hoc administrative, reception and events cover across all Business School activities, in order to support out of hours activities and supplement support at periods of peak demand.


This is a guaranteed hours (GH) contract.

Managers request Event and Operations Assistants cover shifts via the Receptionist & Head of Events. Receptionist allocates work in consultation with the Event and Operations Assistants. Instructions in respect of the work will be provided by the manager responsible. Shifts are offered on a monthly or ad hoc basis.


The salary for this post is at

Grade UE02: 22,995 - 23,350 per annum pro-rata as part-time (12.60 to 12.79 per hour

).


Candidates will be offered a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours for Academic Year 2025/26. Contracts will be fixed-term and linked to an individual's period of study with the University. They will therefore be up to a maximum of 4-years, or automatically ended when you cease to be a matriculated student at the University.

Must be enrolled as a current University of Edinburgh student. Problem solving skills. Decision making skills. Basic IT skills covering Word/Excel/Access. Friendly, helpful and approachable manner.
