What's the role and who are we looking for?
The role is part of a well-respected, successful and growing business development team. The team leads and implements all marketing, sales and client development programmes within LCP, and plays a key role in developing and delivering the firm's strategy. Working with the Events Manager you will work on a range of events including conferences, corporate hospitality, roundtables, seminars, webinars and parties ensuring we deliver integrated and impactful events. This role has scope to develop along with your skills and interests too.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the events manager to deliver a varied events programme, with involvement through the whole lifecycle of an event (venue finding, invitations, planning to gathering and reviewing feedback)
Managing event logistics
Keeping project teams and wider internal stakeholders up to date
Communicating with delegates and answering queries by email, phone and in-person
Preparing collateral (badges, handouts, pop-up stands etc) and attending events, assisting with set up / set down, registering guests etc
Working collaboratively with the Events Manager to support on flagship events and (once trained), taking ownership of delivering smaller events and the corporate hospitality programme
Helping with event reporting and general event administration
Working with external agencies and suppliers (venues, caterers, and other suppliers) as well as specialists within the firm (eg design, data, legal and finance)
What skills, qualities and experience are we looking for?
Previous event experience would be highly desirable
Great communication skills both written and spoken
The ability to prioritise and organise your workload
A good attention to detail
Someone keen to learn different aspects of event delivery, (experience in supporting corporate events may be helpful but not essential)
Someone who loves working as part of a team
A person for whom variety is the spice of life - every day will be different
