We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Event Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of various events, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including logistics and setup.
Provide outstanding guest services by addressing inquiries and ensuring all needs are met during the event.
Support fundraising efforts by engaging with attendees and promoting event activities.
Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and guests to ensure smooth operations.
Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain event schedules.
Help with upselling services or products related to the event to enhance guest experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of event spaces before, during, and after events.
Collaborate with hotel staff and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or event management is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
A background in fundraising or guest services is an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as required by events.
