About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Events Assistant to join the Student Recruitment Events team within Student Recruitment Marketing. You will be reporting to the Events Manager and be working alongside the Events Officer.


As Events Assistant, you will support the administration, organisation and delivery of high impact university-wide recruitment events, designed to enhance the level of interest and encourage applications to the University. You will work alongside an Events Officer and Manager to deliver our events objectives.


Working closely with the Events Manager and Events Officer, academic colleagues, and external partners, you will ensure the smooth organisation and delivery of high-quality, professional events that showcase the university's strengths and values. The role involves liaison with stakeholders, maintaining administrative systems, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Data Protection standards. This is a dynamic and varied role requiring excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills.


This role will require you to work on occasional evenings and weekends.

About You

As Events Assistant, you will have:

Excellent organisational skills which will enable you to work on multiple events concurrently Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and tailoring your communication accordingly Experience of producing creative and high quality online and print communications and resources A demonstrable understanding of the issues and barriers relating to the progression of learners in Higher Education An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to meet shared objectives and enthuse colleagues through your focused and positive attitude towards work
