RARA DINING is looking for an Event Manager with three years relevant experience in a similar role with supervisory experience.
Duties include day-to-day tracking of phone and online enquiries for parties and group booking, coordinating with other restaurant managers for inventory and cost control.
Maintaining a robust team environment, ensuring that quality standards are met from booking procedures to the end of the event.
Meetings are set up with the event host for menu planning, food tasting, and arranging other services to include on the package.
Liaising with the team of chefs to ensure the event menu can be suitable and available and resourcing the suppliers and in-house purchasing orders.
Deciding on the type of food service option, such as buffet-to-table bowl service; interacting with the guests and ensuring that an excellent service is offered;
Arranging hire for internal decor, music and floral arrangement for package.
Negotiating best price with drink suppliers; pricing in the drink menu; directing staff and planning setting services;
Tracking payment of bills and invoices before the event and efficiently handling customer queries/complaints;
Making sure that the restaurant complies with all the legal requirements;
Make sure the event closes at the planned time as per the licence.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 22,000.00-25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
