An opportunity to join the Community Engagement team at Burgess Hill Town Council has arisen as the current team of three are expanding to four people.
We are looking for a committed individual to join the team whose responsibilities include the delivery of a programme of events and community initiatives across the year.
The successful candidate will play a communication role in supporting with social media, press releases and writing articles for About Town, our magazine. The candidate will represent the Council at meetings working with other community groups and will also be involved in working with the Town Mayor to represent the Council.
The role calls for a candidate who has:
-excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
-excellent writing skills
-Highly motivated with a positive frame of mind, a willingness to work within a small team contributing ideas.
This is a full time role comprising 37 hours a week which will include occasional weekend and / or evening working.
