About Us


Formed in 2005 we have a long-standing reputation as a specialist outdoor adventure company; teaching rock climbing, kayaking, mountaineering and adventure sports. We have a huge range of courses and adventures and cater for a wide range of clients from individuals to groups, charities, corporate clients as well as stag/hen parties.

In 2020 we started our on-line store and in 2022 we opened our shop and adventure centre in Brighton Marina.

team and will often be required to work on your own or manage junior staff when the senior team are running courses etc.

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from managing our online bookings, creating bespoke client events, checking and archiving client documentation, and communicating with customers. It is essential that you have excellent administration and communication skills as you will be building relationships with our charity and corporate clients.

Although this position is based in our shop, 80% of our bookings and sales are currently digital so you must have excellent computer and communication skills.

Working within a small team you will need to be multi-skilled, adaptable and able to turn you hand to assist with other aspects of the business.

The role is fun yet demanding. You will be managing your own time, working to multiple deadlines to ensure our clients have the best experience from start to finish. You will also be given the opportunity to take ownership of various projects so a creative mind is a distinct advantage.

You must have a passion for the outdoor environment and our green ethos.

Required Skills

Excellent office administration skills. IT skills (ideally Macs). Excellent communication skills. Proven experience of customer service and administration roles. Strong teamwork. A green and environmentally friendly ethos with a love for the outdoors.
Additional Roles

Writing our monthly newsletters. Marketing products / courses / events. Managing our social media campaigns. Assisting with the development of new areas of the business: products / charity events / corporate events / overseas trips.
Distinct Advantage

Leisure and tourism experience. Retail experience (ideally on-line and in-store). Working in the outdoor industry. Creative writing (newsletters / blogs / web content).

We offer a staff discount scheme on all equipment sold through the shop.

Training Courses


As well as staff discounts on equipment, you will be able to attend all of our courses free of charge or at cost price including; rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, navigation, mountaineering, First Aid. You will also have the opportunity of gaining instructor qualifications should you wish. We will also help with any third-party job specific training where relevant to your work.

Holiday


28 days per year.

Pay


26-28,000 per annum depending on previous experience. Pay is reviewed yearly depending on performance and growth of the business.

Hours


40hrs (5 days) per week (rostered Mon-Sun) and currently 9-6pm (with 1hr for lunch). You will also be expected to act as 'duty manager' (an emergency contact over the weekend) where the Operations Manager is unable to fill this role.
