Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Driver Porter to join our Events & Operations team at Social Pantry. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in providing in delivering food, beverages and equipment to various event venues, corporate offices, and private residences in a timely and professional manner.

You will support our team in the back of house areas while events are underway, ensuring a smooth operation and timely delivery.

At times you will interact with our clients and guests, so must be friendly, professional and presentable at all times.

Experience driving across London and doing multiple food drops and event load-ins is essential. Venue experience is desired. You will be driving various vans, including large transits and 3.5 tonne Luton's.

Responsibilities



Safely and efficiently transport catering orders (including food and equipment) to designated locations

Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals

Load and unload catering equipment and supplies

Ensure all orders are loaded and delivered accuratley and completely- following job sheets and order lists

Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the vehicle, reporting any issues to management

Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with any inquiries or special requests

Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of the guests and vehicle

Maintain accurate records of each trip, including vehicle checks, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur

Provide back-of-house assistance on events- support set up and pack down of working areas and equipment; and provide additional support to the back of house team throughout the event cleaning, tidying, and keeping the area organised.

Requirements



Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Proven experience as a driver, preferably in the catering and events industry Excellent communication and customer service skills Good knowledge of local roads and landmarks Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as kitchen equipment, when necessary Assisting in packing food orders when necessary
Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
