PwC UK is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Event Delivery Team, to be focused on the delivery of client-facing and internal events, supporting our strategic and major Alliances. This role involves executing innovative and memorable events, ensuring they are flawlessly delivered to achieve PwC's objectives. You will manage the logistics and operational aspects alongside integrating creative elements that enhance our brand.
The Event Delivery team provides professional event management advice, planning, and end to end management for PwC's client events and large scale Board level internal events. The candidate will need to demonstrate personal responsibility for each stage of event execution.
You will be primarily responsible for managing, planning, and delivering end-to-end in-person events exclusively for our Alliances, including internal business seminars and conferences. This involves conceptualizing events in collaboration with key Alliance stakeholders, overseeing project and budget planning, and coordinating with production companies, suppliers, and our in-house brand and design teams, as well as handling delegate management.
The team is operating in an ever-changing environment and end-to-end event processes are constantly reviewed. You therefore need to be able to bring insight into events best practice, the client experience, future trends for the events industry and practical examples of how these can be applied.
Your base office will be More London with the need to be on site at events - including internal office locations and external venues. Some travel may be involved as well as irregular hours (early morning, late evening, and occasional weekend working).
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Event Management: Lead the seamless execution of primarily in-person exhibitions and associated fringe events, ensuring a strong PwC presence. This role may also encompass seminars, conferences, and experiential activities. Ensure each event aligns with the specific objectives of the respective Alliance and provides an exceptional experience for attendees.
Alliance Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of PwC's Alliances, including their strategic needs and objectives, to tailor events that resonate and deliver maximum impact.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure clear communication and successful event delivery. Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders (Alliances) to facilitate event success.
Supplier and Venue Coordination: Execute the logistics of sourcing and coordinating venues, audio-visual services, and suppliers, ensuring all processes and contracts are handled efficiently. Build a relationship with our suppliers and leverage it.
Budget and Logistics Management: Manage and create event budgets, resources, and schedules to maintain cost control without sacrificing quality. Prepare forecasting and budget reports as needed.
Onsite Event Management: Lead the onsite execution of events, ensuring all elements run smoothly and according to plan. Manage rehearsals and provide logistical support.
Innovation and Technology Integration: Assist in integrating new technologies and creative elements into events, ensuring they enhance the overall experience. Make sure that we are telling our tech story during the whole of the event process.
The skills and experience we are looking:
Experience in managing complex corporate events and seminars, including end-to-end execution in live environments.
Strong operational, organisational, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, crucial for engaging suppliers, stakeholders, and Alliance partners.
Demonstrated proficiency in budget management, identifying cost-effective solutions, and providing value through financial oversight.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and event management technologies (e.g., Splash, Qualtrics, Sli.do).
Experience in professional services or B2B events delivery role.
Understanding of marketing and business development principles, with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines.
Sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, diplomacy, and political sensitivity to manage expectations and navigate the complexities of a mixed business partnership.
