Our fantastic Events team are currently looking for a

Events Executive

to join us and be a part of the SCHLOSS Roxburghe team!

This

part-time, permanent

position is based on working 24 hours a week, 3 days over 7. With flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.

The position offers a competitive salary of

17,172 per annum (pro-rated) plus gratuities

and excellent employee benefits.
Gratuities (tips) are an additional charge added onto services and are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. The amount is not guaranteed and is depended on service charge paid.*

Your Key Responsibilities:



Create and execute memorable Group & Events opportunities for a wide range of clientele, aiming to secure and generate repeat business. Respond to all customer enquiries quickly and efficiently, within 24 hours as per agreed RFP guidelines. Fully qualify leads to create compelling proposals. Quote hotel rate information and plan all event details, liaising with third-party suppliers as needed. Engage proactively in securing new business to expand the client base. Send contracts to clients upon booking confirmation, along with company terms and conditions. Ensure all booking details are accurately logged in Envision and events are detailed to a high degree of accuracy. Conduct site inspections and meet with clients to discuss their requirements, including entertaining clients during evenings and weekends if needed. Act professionally and informatively, maintaining current product and competitor knowledge Develop and maintain good working relationships with key customers. Assist with monthly sales reporting to track performance. Provide guidance and leadership to the Reservations team, Event Co-ordinators. Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their Event knowledge / sales skills. Work with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategically identifying potential business opportunities to drive sales growth. Maintain good working relationships with key customers, agents, and regular guests through consistent communication (emails, phone calls, etc.). Regularly monitor and review all prospect, tentative, and lost business enquiries to drive increased conversion levels.

Financial Responsibilities:



To maximise colleague productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling in order to meet the financial goals of the Department as well as the expectations of all people we serve. Monitoring PM accounts to ensure fast settlements. You will oversee each other's events and brief on current status of individual events.

Your Experience, Qualities & Capabilities:



Proven experience 2+ years within the luxury hospitality industry preferred You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships You have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service You have proven organisational and leadership qualities You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels You are confident in handling guest complaints and colleague management You have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service You use your initiative and take a practical approach to problem solving
