About the role
------------------
This role is a fixed-term maternity cover role with a duration of 1 year. The Bartlett is looking for an experienced and proactive Events Manager to deliver an ambitious annual events programme across three of our departments: The Bartlett School of Architecture (BSA), the Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) and UCL Urban Lab (UL). From public exhibitions and high-profile lectures to conferences, panel discussions and receptions, this role involves the planning, delivery and evaluation of a range of events that showcase and promote the world-leading work of these departments. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, the post-holder will manage the end-to-end event process, from liaising with speakers and external suppliers, to managing logistics and student temps, overseeing budgets and ensuring a first-class attendee experience - both in person and online. As part of the wider Communications team, the Events Manager will also lead on the promotion of events across our channels, maximising engagement with target audiences. They will collaborate closely with academic leads, senior stakeholders and communications colleagues to ensure events are aligned with strategic goals and uphold UCL's commitment to openness, inclusion and sustainability. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering impactful events that strengthen the profile and public engagement of some of the UK's most influential built environment institutions.
About you
