Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Event Manager to oversee and coordinate a variety of events across our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating events to ensure they meet organisational objectives and deliver exceptional experiences for guests. Duties

Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality Develop detailed event timelines and oversee the execution to ensure timely delivery Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations Provide exceptional guest services by addressing client needs and resolving any issues promptly Utilise strong organisational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines and optimise event flow Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement Assist in fundraising activities related to events where applicable

Qualifications

Proven experience in event management within hospitality, restaurant, or hotel environments is highly desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanour Demonstrated ability in upselling and increasing revenue through guest engagement strategies Experience in fundraising or guest services is advantageous Exceptional time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments
