The Vice-President External Engagement (VPEE) team delivers communications and marketing activity for UCL, working to ensure UCL's public prominence, reputation and influence reflects the university's excellence in knowledge creation, education, and innovation. Our Events team delivers a range of events for UCL staff, students, external stakeholders and the general public, in support of UCL's strategic priorities. This includes graduation ceremonies for over 10,000 students, open days, high-profile VIP events for our influential stakeholders. public lectures, festivals, and award ceremonies.


About the role


------------------


As an Events Officer you'll deliver a range of exciting events which professionally and creatively promote UCL to a range of audiences. You will proactively support the whole events process from the planning stage, administration, through to delivering the event and supporting post-event evaluation.



Our audiences and events include prospective students for our open days, current students at graduation, our staff at internal conferences and alumni, business leaders, political influencers and other national and international stakeholders in our more bespoke event programmes. All of these audiences are relevant for our Bicentenary Event programme.


Please note this is a permanent post with an immediate start and is offered on a hybrid working basis (2-days onsite) at our London Kings Cross office.

About you

As an Events professional, you must have knowledge of how to deliver excellent customer service as well as experience of organising or supporting the delivery of events. You have experience in planning and managing complex budgets and an ability to operate within a tight budgetary framework. Additionally you have experience providing administrative support for a variety of events an activities.


Please note, as part of this role the postholder will need to work outside of 'normal' office hours, including attendance at evening and weekend events.
