As part of the Events Management team, you will plan and execute internal and external client-facing events, both on-site and off-site, to support business development and firm-wide initiatives. This includes events throughout the EMEA and potentially global travel. You will collaborate with the London Events team and the Global Events Team to develop and implement best practices for event management.
Key Responsibilities
------------------------
Leading the development, implementing, and measuring best practice approaches in collaboration with stakeholders and internal departments.
Strategically planning and executing a diverse portfolio of high-impact in-person and virtual events, including:
+ Client-facing events
+ Networking and social events
+ Thought leadership seminars
+ Internal engagement events
+ Internal training and recruitment programmes
+ Multiday meetings
+ Global and regional webinars Directing the implementation of logistics to achieve event objectives by establishing goals, responsibilities, and budgets in advance, and conducting comprehensive pre- and post-event analysis, including attendance metrics, budget summaries, and feedback.
Collaborating with the marketing team and other internal departments to ensure stakeholders are regularly updated on event progress, and ensuring strict adherence to event budgets and achievement of goals and objectives.
Ensuring the proper storage and management of client contact information in systems like InterAction.
Managing vendor and supplier relationships in coordination with the Procurement team, ensuring the firm receives the best possible service by researching, sourcing, negotiating, and contracting venues and suppliers.
Utilising in-house resources, including the Bookings Team, Creative Services, and Marketing/Business Development, as preferred suppliers, and overseeing the production of event materials.
Providing guidance and best practices for virtual events, including technology and systems, and building and managing registration sites and mobile applications using the firm's preferred platform, Cvent.
Establishing close affiliations with industry and professional associations and venues to ensure the Firm receives maximum value for receptions, dinners, and external conferences.
Acting as an ambassador of the firm and its core values.
Supporting the Senior Events Manager with strategic projects, best practice implementation (e.g., hybrid events), and Firm global events.
Mentoring and supervising junior team members with the current Event Specialist.
Qualifications and skills

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a legal services firm required.
Proficient in using event management software, including Cvent.
Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, exceptional attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
Strong knowledge of local vendors and venues.
Committed team player with a 'can-do' attitude; ability to work independently and in cross-functional, global teams, demonstrating resourcefulness, initiative, and collaboration.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; client service-oriented and credible.
Prepared to work outside standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends; domestic and international travel as necessary.

This role is based in our London office, and reports into the EMEA Senior Events Manager.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
