Chillspace is a well-established Event Production company based in Croydon, providing furniture and bars for hire, stages and stage sets as well as venue dressing.
We are looking to recruit new drivers & warehouse operatives with the outlook to train and develop to a site/production management role.
The job will be on a full time basis upon successfully completing a 3 month trial period. This role will suit someone with a hands-on approach who can work as a team player as well as on their own, someone who wants to progress within the Events industry and become a Production Manager, who will be looking after jobs from start to finish. You will need to be client facing and a good timekeeper. For insurance purposes you will need to be over 25 and hold a clean UK drivers licence
The primary location is New Addington in Croydon, only 10 mins walk from the tram stop however due to the nature of the industry it will take the successful candidates all over the UK and possibly abroad. The starting rate of pay is 15.00 per hour with overtime paid at 22.50 Basic hours are Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:30 with additional work on weekends and after standard office hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
- physical preparation of the jobs, including basic woodwork, painting and upholstery
- loading and unloading of vehicles
- maintaining a safe and friendly working environment, keeping the workshop clean and tidy
- driving to site delivering, setting up and collecting furniture, bars, set, staging and other equipment
- looking after deliveries of stock and consumables
- some heavy lifting involved
- helping the driving and warehouse teams
- loading & unloading vehicles
