Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Excavator Driver with strong joinery experience to join our team at Highview Caravan Park. This is a varied role involving both groundworks and carpentry, with a particular focus on building and maintaining high-quality decking around holiday homes. The ideal candidate will be confident operating excavators and other site machinery, while also possessing a strong background in joinery.

Key Responsibilities

Operate excavators and related machinery safely and efficiently for ground preparation and site works. Carry out joinery tasks to a high standard, including the design, build, and installation of timber decking and other park structures. Work as part of a team to support holiday home siting, groundworks, and park maintenance. Ensure all health & safety regulations are followed at all times. o Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery and tools. Assist with additional construction, landscaping, or maintenance tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience operating excavators (with relevant certification/licenses preferred). o Strong background in joinery, ideally with experience in building decking and outdoor structures. Additional plant or machinery handling experience (telehandler, dumper, etc.) is highly advantageous. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to take on varied tasks across the park environment.

Requirements

Valid excavator/plant operator certification (or willingness to obtain). Full UK driving licence. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Positive attitude with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
