Excavator Operator

to join our skilled site team.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating 360 excavators (below 10 tonne) safely and efficiently on a busy streetworks project. You will work closely with the site team to ensure works are carried out to specification, on time, and in accordance with all health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operate 360 tracked excavators to carry out excavation, grading, trenching, and earthmoving tasks. Assist with installation of drainage, kerbing, utilities, and road formation. Conduct daily plant checks and report defects in line with company procedures. Work collaboratively with groundworkers, supervisors, and engineers. Adhere to all site safety procedures and maintain a tidy and safe work area. Support general site duties as required. Must demonstrate consistent punctuality and reliability

Requirements

Valid

CPCS

or

NPORS

Excavator Operator card (above and/or below 10 tonnes).

Proven experience working on

roadworks or civil engineering

projects essential.

Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.

Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.

Full UK manual licence (Manual) and must have own transport.

Must be able to prove that they have the right to work within the UK. (Passport)

The role requires clear and effective spoken communication in English

Desirable Skills

Lifting Operations (A59C endorsement) Additional plant tickets (e.g. Dumper, Roller)
