We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support Carolyne - our owner, managing director, chief bottlewasher and the driving force of the business. She's the one out front making things happen, and you'll be the person making sure everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork. From managing her diary and projects to supporting HR and keeping marketing and sales tasks on track, you'll be the organiser, problem-solver and safe pair of hands that keeps the show on the road.
Who We Are:
We're Gap HR - a specialist HR consultancy based in Goring, South Oxfordshire. We work with small private sector businesses and private member golf clubs country wide.
We're the ones our clients call when things get tricky. About 70% of our time is spent on grievances, disciplinaries, and digging into the details of what really happened - think of us as the CSI team of employment law.
Most of our clients have already given their staff second, third (and sometimes tenth!) chances, but when things still aren't working, that's when they call us.
The rest of our time is spent creating contracts and handbooks, advising on the full range of employee relations issues (from terminations and settlement agreements to long-term sickness absence and maternity leave), and - uniquely - helping golf clubs handle their member disciplinary issues.
What You'll Be Doing (besides keeping Carolyne sane):
Support Carolyne, the driving force of the business, by keeping her organised, on time and focused.
Manage her emails, to-do list and diary so she can concentrate on driving things forward.
Take ownership of tasks and projects, making sure deadlines are met and nothing gets forgotten.
Support the expert HR advisors when needed
Responsible for marketing - posting on social media and liaising with designers or suppliers.
Be the friendly point of contact for clients, suppliers, and the team.
Research and produce clear reports to support Carolyne's projects.
Anticipate needs, spot problems before they become problems, and just get things done.
Make sure the wheels keep turning smoothly so Carolyne can keep the whole show on the road.
What We're Looking For:
Super organised, detail-focused and great at juggling multiple priorities.
A natural problem-solver who enjoys making life easier for others.
Confident with HR admin, marketing tasks and sales support - or able to learn very quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Tech-savvy - happy working with CRMs, social media platforms, and Microsoft/Google tools.
Someone proactive, adaptable, and happy to get stuck in wherever needed.
Experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Co-ordinator, or similar "wearer of many hats."
Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and a natural "fixer."

This is a full-time role (but we'll happily chat about part-time/flexible hours if that works better).

40,000 annual salary
