Executive Assistant - All-Rounder with Strong Computer Skills
Sure Care UK is a growing care home company dedicated to delivering exceptional services while maintaining smooth, efficient operations. I am looking for an Executive Assistant who is highly organised, confident in their abilities, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
This role requires someone who is sharp, adaptable, and strong with computer systems, and who works well under direct and high expectations. You will have the autonomy to manage your workload, but I expect a high standard of delivery, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach at all times.
I am looking for someone long-term -- someone who sees the value in growing alongside the business and is committed to becoming a key part of the team over time.
You must be able to follow instructions carefully and accurately, while also having the initiative to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
Manage my priorities with minimal supervision.
Draft, send, and manage professional correspondence independently.
Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates accurately and on time.
Act as a first point of contact for internal and external communications.
Operational & Business Support
Perform rota checks ensuring accuracy and compliance -- attention to detail is key.
Support recruitment processes from drafting adverts to coordinating interviews.
Step in to support HR, accounts, payroll, or administrative functions as needed -- flexibility is expected.
Assist with implementing and managing new systems, ensuring smooth staff adoption and troubleshooting when necessary.
Compliance & Auditing
Conduct regular audits of HR, payroll, and rota systems to ensure accuracy and compliance using our audit templates.
Identify and resolve discrepancies, and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
Procurement & Logistics
Manage ordering and procurement of essential supplies for care homes.
Organise travel arrangements and ensure itinerary management is efficient and professional.
Maintain company records in an organised, accessible, and compliant manner.
Communication & Problem-Solving
Act as a communication bridge between myself, senior management, and wider teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Use initiative, logical thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems proactively.
Flexibility & Adaptability
Be prepared to step into different roles temporarily to ensure smooth business operations.
Adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and requirements without resistance.
Take on additional projects or responsibilities as needed to support the business.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similarly demanding and hands-on role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills -- able to draft correspondence and documents to a high professional standard.
High level of proficiency in computer navigation, with strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
Comfortable working in a high-expectation environment with direct feedback aimed at continual improvement.
High attention to detail, particularly in compliance, auditing, and operational processes.
Logical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset -- willing to take ownership and initiative.
Able to follow detailed instructions precisely, while confidently making decisions when independent thinking is required.
Experience with HR, recruitment, payroll, or operational administration is an advantage.
Important Note
This role involves working closely alongside a director where your performance will be highly visible. Only apply if you are confident in your abilities, can work independently with minimal supervision, and are comfortable meeting high expectations. This is a long-term role -- I am looking for someone who wants to build stability, learn, and grow within the business over time.
Why Join Me?
A dynamic, varied role with exposure to multiple areas of a growing business.
A direct but supportive environment where high standards and continuous development are valued.
The opportunity to learn, develop new skills, and work closely with leadership.
A results-driven culture where autonomy is given but performance is expected.
Long-term opportunity for the right person to grow their career and responsibilities.
If you are confident in your ability, can respond positively to feedback, and are ready to take ownership of your role for the long term, I would be happy to hear from you.
