The Role

In this very central role to So Energy you'll be enabling our CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and wider Leadership Team to do their best work. Working most closely with our CEO but directly reporting to People Director as your "people manager", you'll provide proactive, high-quality support that keeps things running smoothly across the business. From coordinating key meetings and projects to driving engagement and connection across teams, you'll play a vital role in helping our leaders stay organised, informed, and focused on what matters most.

Why So Energy?

So Energy was created in 2015 because we knew energy suppliers could be

better

. Since then, we've grown rapidly but sustainably, with 300,000 customers and over 450 Energists (what we call our people). But we're not done! We're on the road to a net-zero future, and thanks to our partnership with ESB, we're well on the way. We're customer-centric, tech-led, and passionate about sustainability.

We're driven to do our best for our customers, for each other, and for our planet. That's why we've built a workplace culture that's supportive, empowering, inclusive, and full of opportunities to grow and make an impact.

At So Energy, we take pride in our values-driven culture. We live and breathe by our

six core

values

that guide everything we do:

Clear

Honest

Ambitious

Caring

Sustainable

What you'll be getting up to in this role:

Provide seamless administrative and organisational support to the SLT and Leadership Team, including diary management, travel, expenses, and correspondence. Enable the effective delivery of projects and programmes by coordinating workshops, managing invites and agendas, and preparing high-quality presentation materials. Lead the planning and logistics for internal events such as regional team meetings - ensuring they run smoothly and foster alignment across teams. Support our affinity groups and Belonging strategy, helping bring inclusion and connection to life across So Energy. Champion team engagement by managing the bi-annual team social process and supporting the People Team in launching a new recognition programme. Maintain key communication tools and systems, including staff mailing lists and SharePoint repositories, ensuring they're accurate and well-organised. Oversee travel arrangements, partnering with Finance to ensure efficiency and value for money. Partner with the Governance Manager to run the Risk Committee, preparing agendas, minutes, and action tracking. Support the CEO and SLT with Board preparations, including meeting packs, agendas, and coordination with the ESB Company Secretary. Assist SMT and Committee Chairs in delivering effective monthly meetings. Contribute to other administrative or programme management activities as needed to keep our teams connected and supported.

You're a

great match if:

Proven experience providing administrative or executive support in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professional presentation. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence across senior stakeholders. High level of discretion, judgement, and professionalism in handling confidential information. Proactive and solution-focused, anticipating needs and taking initiative to resolve issues independently. Experience coordinating projects, company wide events, or programmes with strong follow-through and accuracy. Collaborative and adaptable team player who thrives in a dynamic, changing environment. Strong business awareness and understanding of organisational priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.

Research shows that some underrepresented people are less likely to apply for a role unless they are 100% qualified. We believe your experience, skills, and passion will set you apart. We encourage you to apply and tell us about your journey, even if you don't tick all the boxes.
