We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences at our new purpose built 1800 seater restaurant and wedding facility.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in kitchen management,-with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, and staff training while fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient operation and high-quality consisitent food production.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes.
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Create a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and creativity among staff members.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and health and safety legislation including HACCP for manufacturing desirable. Knowledge of Indicater or equivalent stock management systems a distinct advantage.
Proven experience as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Experience of cruise ships,large hotel, large wedding, corporate events, buffet restaurant an advantage.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. A knowledge of world cuisines a distinct advantage.
Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a highly motivational and collaborative atmosphere in the kitchen.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure. Will be expected to recruit and manage staff within the kitchen and assess their abilities and trainIng needs on an ongoing basis.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Urdu/Hindi speaking an advantage
Be able to work on own initiative whilst leading by example.
