Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of food production and preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, with a focus on food safety and quality. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience. The sites are The Mitre Hotel, The Allotment Vegan Eatery and Black Lion Hotel.

Responsibilities

Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee all food production activities, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Manage kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure a cohesive team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and food safety standards. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Pay: 40,000.00-43,000.00 per year
