About this role:





Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of trade credit insurance policies supporting the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) business in Commercial Banking. This role ensures optimal credit capacity and risk mitigation across SCF programs by managing broker & insurer relationships, policy structures, and day-to-day administration. The position collaborates closely with SCF leadership, relationship managers, and external brokers and insurers to align insurance solutions with client needs and portfolio objectives..



In this role, key responsibilities include:

Strategic Management:

+ Develop and execute the overall strategy for trade credit insurance within SCF.
+ Align insurance structures with SCF product offerings, credit appetite, and client risk profiles.
+ Lead annual policy reviews and renewal processes in coordination with brokers and insurers.

Policy Administration:

+ Oversee day-to-day operations of trade credit insurance policies, including limits management, claims processing and policy compliance.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of policy coverage, limits, and utilization.
+ Ensure timely premium payments and reconciliation of policy costs across SCF programs.

Broker and Insurer Relationships:

+ Serve as primary liaison with trade credit insurance brokers and underwriters.
+ Negotiate policy terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements.
+ Monitor market trends and insurer appetite to inform SCF strategy.

Risk and Credit Support:

+ Collaborate with relationship management and underwriting teams to integrate insurance into credit decisions and client offerings.
+ Support client onboarding and program expansion through insurance-backed credit capacity.
+ Provide guidance on policy applicability and risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

+ Partner with SCF leadership, legal, compliance, third party supplier and finance teams to ensure policy alignment with internal standards.
+ Educate internal stakeholders on trade credit insurance capabilities and limitations.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Relevant experience in trade credit insurance, supply chain finance, or commercial banking. Deep understanding of trade credit insurance markets, policy structures, and SCF products. Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills. Experience working with brokers, underwriters, and credit teams. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to credit insurance.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with global SCF programs and cross-border insurance policies. Proficiency in policy management systems and data analytics tools.
