Position - Executive Head Chef

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation and production within a restaurant environment. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen at all times. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety practices, and restaurant policies.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Executive Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Passion for food and creativity in menu development. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
