About the Post:
About Us: We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as an Executive Manager, supporting the running of the Office of the Executive Director Adult Health and Social Care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the smooth and effective operation of the Executive Director's office, coordinating with the Directorate Services management team.
Provide a high quality personal assistant service to the Executive Director.
Manage a team of Management Support Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to the Directorate Management Team.
Collaborate with the Chief Executive's Office and other Directorate Management Teams.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Champion the adoption and utilisation of technology, including Microsoft 365 and artificial intelligence, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for the Executive Director as required.
Facilitate the effective governance process of directorate papers, including the risk register and other reporting requirements.
Facilitate efficient operation of Directorate Management meeting structures, including agenda setting and follow-up actions.
Attend meetings with the Executive Director and support emergency situations as needed.
Project manage events, conferences, and visits on behalf of the Executive Director.
Liaise with elected members, partners, and government departments.
Provide proactive and reactive verbal and written briefings for the Executive Director.
Manage diary appointments and support organisational tasks for the Executive Director.
Handle communications, correspondence, complaints, and enquiries across various platforms.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar executive support role, preferably within the public health or adult health and social care government sector but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong management skills, with the ability to oversee a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other relevant technologies.
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
