The Lifestart Foundation is seeking an Executive Officer to manage the Lifestart Foundation's Northern Ireland Office. The successful candidate will be expected to become familiar with the Foundation's mission, goals and objectives, finances, challenges and opportunities and give direction and leadership in the implementation of the Board of Director's strategy and objectives.
Salary:
27,000 per annum for a 24-hour working week

Job Summary:
To implement the Foundation's mission, strategic goals and objectives and to manage, coordinate and oversee Lifestart programme delivery, grant-aided projects and other contracts in Northern Ireland.
Key Areas/Tasks:
General Responsibilities
Support the Lifestart Council in the management of Lifestart licensing agreements
Manage and coordinate the delivery of the Growing Child programme, home visiting service and grant-aided projects and contracts in Northern Ireland
Ensure that the charity meets all it legal, financial and reporting responsibilities.
Ensure that Lifestart Quality Standards are maintained
Carry out plans and policies authorised by the Lifestart Council and execute its decisions
Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field of parenting and child development.
Finance/Sustainability
Ensure that adequate finance is in place to achieve Lifestart's aims and objectives and that the organisation operates within budget guidelines
Explore funding opportunities and complete funding applications with the aim of ensuring organisational sustainability
Maintain full awareness of the financial and accounting records of the organisation, ensure their accuracy and present quarterly financial reports to the Lifestart Council
Oversee the provision of information to the accountant for the annual accounts
Human Resources
Ensure that sound human resource practices are in place compliant with current laws and regulations and that regular performance appraisals are held
Co-ordinate and supervise employees and maintain a competent and effective team
Ensure that relevant and effective training programmes are planned and delivered to staff
Public Relations/Marketing
Promote the Lifestart Ethos positively and represent the Lifestart point of view to agencies, organisations and the general public
Network with and establish sound working relationships and partnerships with relevant external agencies and other organisations
Service Delivery
Oversee the management of Lifestart licence agreements, contracts and funded projects in Northern Ireland
Ensure that financial, training and quality assurance systems and procedures are in place to ensure that high standards and fidelity are maintained in programme and service delivery
Report appropriately on service and programme delivery to funders
Policy
Regularly review and update internal policies and develop new policies when required
Ensure that policies are implemented
Evaluation/Impact Measurement
Compile appropriate data reflecting programme and service outcomes and impact
Miscellaneous
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Council/Board of Directors.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The person appointed should have:
Essential:
1. An Honours Degree or Equivalent in a relevant discipline and at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
2. Evidence of a commitment to Continuing Professional Development
3. A proven track record in organisational management with a demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically.
4. Have experience in:
o Project Management
o Staff Training
o Team Building and staff supervision
o Promoting an organisation
o Networking
o Funding Applications and report writing
o Financial Management
5. Have IT Skills e.g. (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and familiarity with the Internet for business use and social media for marketing and promotions purposes)

7. Have a full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.
