What's the role?
This role will work closely with senior managers including: Executive Directors, Service Directors, and Heads of Service. In addition, the role will engage with elected Councillors, including Members of the Cabinet and Scrutiny and liaise with a wide range of external stakeholders.
The primary function of the role will be to provide high quality support to the Council's senior leadership team. This will include performing a diverse range of day-to-day tasks including: minuting key meetings, organising multi-stakeholder events, diary management and managing the Directorate business cycle.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, ideally with executive assistant experience, who can quickly develop strong relationships with senior officers and colleagues across the Council, working strategically to ensure that Directors are fully briefed, organised and equipped for day-to-day management of the organisation. You will be a reliable team player who is able to adapt, in a fast paced environment, to the evolving needs of the organisation. You will conduct yourself professionally and use your initiative and problem solving skills to support the Directors to maintain a high level of service to the residents of Lewisham.
