Overview


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window & Door Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing doors in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. Responsibilities



Measure and mark window / door openings accurately according to project specifications and schematics Install new doors, ensuring proper sealing, insulation, and alignment for optimal performance Remove old or damaged doors carefully to minimise damage to surrounding structures Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively during installation processes Assist with related tasks such as plastering, masonry, or construction painting as required Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to high standards Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans as necessary

Qualifications



Proven experience in window & door fitting Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and fabrication tasks Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings relevant to installation projects Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions and environments Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and fitting Valid UK driving licence is desirable for site travel purposes Prior experience with construction painting or masonry is advantageous but not essential Commitment to health and safety standards within the construction industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
