We currently have an exciting opportunity within our team at The Fountain Inn - Lower Gornal. If you are passionate about beer, food and great service, are comfortable leading a small team, are hard working and committed to a future within a family run pub then we want to hear from you!

The role of Experienced Bar Person will involve duties such as; Serving guests with a friendly smile, leading/coaching/motivating a team, training new staff, de-escalating errors or complaints, booking control/table planning, keeping a clean workspace, being able to take deliveries, monitoring stock levels, restocking/stock rotation, opening/closing the pub, reducing waste behind the bar, covering the manager/assistant manager when off shift, being responsible as a key holder, assisting in hitting business targets, communicating with other teams (Possibly kitchen) to run a full service.

The right candidate will be flexible, reliable, trustworthy, eager to progress within a small company, determined and experienced in helping to lead a team within the hospitality industry. Experience of caring for cask and keg beers would be a bonus. Full training on our processes and expectations will be provided. The role will start at around 16-24 hours a week with a starting hourly wage of 12.30 (after a probationary period of 4 weeks - NMW during probation period). Future performance and target based pay reviews will be considered after a period. We are looking for someone who is eager and able to progress into a salaried manager role.
