Overview

The Chequers Inn is a thriving 17th-century hotel and restaurant near High Wycombe, with great links into London and the South-East. We're looking for an experienced and dependable bar professional to join our close-knit team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who has bar experience. You'll work alongside the management team to keep the service smooth, support less-experienced team members, and help us maintain a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for guests.

What we're looking for:

Strong bar experience in a busy pub or restaurant setting Someone who's calm under pressure, friendly, and professional Confident handling orders, cash, stock and general bar duties A good team player who takes pride in the job Happy to pitch in across the bar and restaurant as needed

The details:

Full-time position, with mix of straight and split shifts Includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays (with some flexibility) 12.50-13.50 depending on experience, with monthly tips/tronc between 400-600
