Experienced Bartender

Nichi - The Trafford Centre, Manchester

12.21-13.50 per hour + tips + service charge

24-40 hours per week (overtime regularly available)

We are looking for a skilled and confident bartender to join the team at Nichi: a premium Japanese/Peruvian restaurant located in The Trafford Centre. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a quality-driven environment, enjoys engaging with guests, and brings a professional, controlled, and attentive energy behind the bar.

This is not an entry-level bartending role: we are looking for someone with solid existing experience who can demonstrate competence, consistency, and maturity in service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cocktails and beverages to specification Confidently pour, shake, stir and garnish drinks Maintain bar presentation and hygiene to a high standard Manage stock: rotation, preparation, replenishment Contribute to smooth bar operation during busy periods Support floor staff with service where needed Offer informed recommendations to guests confidently Handle bar-related guest enquiries professionally Follow opening/closing procedures and operational standards

Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a bar or cocktail-led environment Knowledge of classic cocktails & contemporary serves Strong work ethic and pride in preparation & presentation Ability to operate calmly during high service volume Excellent guest communication and service presence Reliability, punctuality and professional attitude Ability to integrate into a team and uphold our service culture Ability to take direction and maintain consistent standards Competence behind the bar should be automatic and natural*
