Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in using hand and power tools, with experience in various construction and fabrication techniques. This role involves working with different materials, including masonry, plaster, and roofing components, to ensure high-quality assembly and installation of structures. The Fitter will be responsible for interpreting schematics and applying electrical knowledge where necessary.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and fit components according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation. Perform fitting tasks on various materials, including masonry, plaster, and roofing elements. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Troubleshoot any fitting issues that arise during the assembly process.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with carpentry techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read electrical schematics is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
