Pro Landscapes MDX Ltd is a rapidly growing, multi-depot commercial grounds maintenance, arboriculture and infrastructure services contractor operating across the South East and beyond.
We deliver long-term contracts for local authorities, highways, utilities, and large commercial clients, with a strong pipeline of framework tenders and repeat business. As part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to take ownership of our end-to-end tender submissions and improve win rates across high-value public-sector contracts.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who understands how tenders are actually scored -- not just written.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and writing high-quality tender submissions for public-sector and large commercial clients, including local authorities, utilities, and framework agreements.
You will work closely with Directors, Operations, Health & Safety, and Compliance teams to produce clear, compelling, and fully compliant submissions that score highly against published evaluation criteria.

Lead the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity review through to final submission

Environmental sustainability
Health & Safety and compliance sections
Analyse tender documentation, scoring matrices, and evaluation criteria to shape responses strategically
Develop and maintain a bid library of core responses, policies, and evidence
Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external partners
Ensure all submissions are fully compliant, well-structured, and submitted on time
Review feedback from unsuccessful bids and implement continuous improvement
Support case studies, accreditations, and evidence updates
Essential Experience
Proven experience as a Bid Writer within:
Public sector
Local authority
Utilities
Infrastructure / FM / Grounds / Arboriculture / Construction sectors
Strong understanding of:
ITTs, PQQs, SQs, and framework submissions
Scoring methodologies and quality weighting
Compliance-heavy tender environments
Ability to write clear, persuasive, evidence-based responses under deadline pressure
Excellent written English and attention to detail
Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
Experience with grounds maintenance, arboriculture, highways or FM contracts
Understanding of social value, environmental, and sustainability criteria
Desirable (But Not Essential)
