We are looking for a skilled Butcher to provide high-quality meats and services to our customers. The butcher will perform a quality inspections, use meat grinders, knives, saws and other tools to cut meat down into smaller portions, weight, price and package cuts and ensure that displays are attractive and eye catching. You will also speak to customers to determine their needs, provide advice regarding proper cuts of meat and preperation methods.
BUTCHERS RESPONSIBILITIES
Cutting and grinding meats for sale
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with butchery tasks as required, ensuring proper handling and storage of meat products
Support the team during busy periods by ensuring timely food production and presentation
Follow all health and safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment
Contribute to maintaining stock levels and assist with inventory management
Requirements
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods,lift heavy items and work in a cold environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in butchery hygiene
Experience in food preparation, butchery, or related culinary skills preferred
Strong understanding of butchery operations and food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A genuine passion for butchery and continuous learning within the culinary field
Relevant qualifications or certifications in food safety are advantageous
Pay: From 14.50 per hour
