Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe/Deli Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily cafe operations. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a customer focused environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly ensuring a friendly atmosphere at all times. Prepare and serve a variety of food and drink items, adhering to health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low stock levels. Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, following the cafe's cash handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Address customer enquiries and complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers. Strong organisational abilities to maintain a tidy workspace and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in a cafe or hospitality setting is preferred
