Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial builds. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. The Carpenter will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.

Duties



Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Ensure all work is completed to the required specifications and standards. Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, and cabinetry. Carry out roofing tasks as needed. Assist with masonry work when required. Conduct painting tasks to finish surfaces as per project requirements. Collaborate with electricians for any electrical installations related to carpentry work. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Lift heavy materials as necessary for various projects.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work. Ability to plumb structures accurately and efficiently. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Experience in heavy lifting is essential for this role. Knowledge of electrical installations is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good physical fitness level to handle the demands of the job.
