We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills
Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, following health and safety regulations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop new menu items and specials that reflect current culinary trends
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices
Experience
Proven experience in a Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
