Job Summary

Due to expansion within Jen's Xplorers we are looking for someone to join our team who will work within our Baby Room and Pre-school.

Candidates must have a minimum Level 3 in Childcare and have experience and confidence working with babies and young children. These are essential.

Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Certificates are preferable but we can help to organise training.

Outdoor Forest School training an advantage.

We envisage hours to be 8am till 4pm but you would need to be flexible and be available 7.15 to 6pm Monday to Friday, we will consider job share for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Providing care for babies and young children, including feeding, nappy changing and ensuring they are comfortable and safe.

Keeping babies and young children safe at all times.

Assisting in planning and carrying out of activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Be confident to have key children and good communication skills with parents/carers

Use the online system to document each child's learning journey (training will be provided) through observations and reports

Keeping the environment clean, organised and safe. Awareness of the importance of risk assessments.

Working in partnerships with colleagues and parents to understand children's individual needs.

Enjoy the outdoors and taking the babies and young children on visits into the local community

Pay: From 12.36 per hour
