Job Summary

We are seeking a local skilled Window Fitter/and Lad to join our team, payment is made per fitted window/door. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of windows in various settings, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. Own vehicle is preferred but not essential.

Duties

Install, repair, and replace windows in residential and commercial properties. Interpret and work from schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise installations. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to complete projects efficiently. Conduct assessments of existing window structures to determine necessary repairs or replacements. Ensure all installations comply with building regulations and safety standards. Perform additional tasks such as plastering, masonry work, and construction painting as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the duration of projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in window fitting roles is essential. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to window installation. Strong skills in carpentry and masonry are highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
