Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, with a focus on team management and food safety. This role requires a hands-on approach to supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Supervise and manage bar staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring quality and consistency. Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and service, enhancing the overall dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to food safety regulations. Train new staff on bar operations, customer service skills, and health and safety protocols. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock to minimise waste. Develop creative drink menus that align with seasonal trends and customer preferences. Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a supervisory role. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with bar equipment and techniques for preparing various beverages. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
