We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support the cooking process by preparing sauces, garnishes, and other components as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Follow instructions from chefs regarding cooking techniques, presentation, and portion control.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout all food production areas.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is crucial.
