Proven Leadership Track Record:

You must provide

tangible evidence

of previously carrying out leadership or supervisory roles. This could include managing rotas, leading CQC audits, mentoring trainees, or overseeing practice-wide projects.

The ability to remain the "calm center" of a busy practice, managing high-pressure clinical days with grace and professional composure.

Active Empathy:

An intuitive understanding of both patient anxieties and staff morale. You notice when a colleague is struggling and offer support before being asked.

Conflict De-escalation:

A tactful, diplomatic approach to problem-solving, whether dealing with a patient concern or an internal team disagreement.

Psychological Safety:

Creating an environment where junior staff feel safe to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and grow under your mentorship.

Key Responsibilities



Clinical Oversight:

Leading by example in the surgery, ensuring the highest standards of cross-infection control and GDC compliance.

Operational Admin:

Taking ownership of nursing rotas, clinical stock management, and assisting with CQC audit preparation.

Team Development:

Conducting "check-ins" with the nursing team, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Management Integration:

Working closely with the Practice Manager to streamline the patient journey and improve practice efficiency.

Requirements



Experience:

At least

5 years of clinical dental nursing

(Essential).

Leadership Evidence:

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, Head Nurse, or Lead Nurse capacity.

GDC Registration:

Current and valid registration with a clean professional record.

Commitment:

Ability to work a

minimum of 3 days per week

.

A genuine desire to transition into healthcare administration and management.
