We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through home care services. This role requires a blend of patience, empathy, and practical skills to ensure the well-being of those under your care.

Shift Pattern

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

7am start with a scheduled break in the middle of the day to recharge

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and guidelines. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to hygiene standards.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is highly desirable. Proficiency in patient care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice care. Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Experience in behaviour management techniques beneficial for working with diverse client needs. This role is essential in providing compassionate support to those who require assistance, ensuring their dignity and comfort while promoting independence wherever possible. Pay: 12.82 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
