The Role
As our Engineer, you will be responsible for the
maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electronic security systems
, along with minor installation works in line with
SSAIB standards
.
Our work is mainly along the
M62 corridor
, with
increasing opportunities for working away
as our market share continues to grow.
You will also take part in our
on-call rota (currently 1 in 8 weeks)
, with flexibility available for swaps.
Key Responsibilities
Fault-finding, maintenance, small installations, system additions, and relocations of IP CCTV/Access Control/ Intruder Alarm systems.
Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across IP-based and analogue systems
Maintain detailed and accurate service and maintenance records
Provide excellent customer service, including:
Explaining faults and repairs clearly
Offering advice on system improvements
Carrying out basic user training where required
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and site-specific procedures
Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies
Work collaboratively with lead engineers and subcontractors on larger projects when required
Experience & Knowledge
Essential:
Minimum
4 years' experience
servicing and maintaining electronic security systems
Strong knowledge of
IP-based CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder systems
Understanding of relevant
British Standards (SSAIB)
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues
Desirable:
ECS / CSCS certification
Experience with Avigilon/Milestone/Hikvision/Genetec/Paxton/PAC/Honeywell/Galaxy/Texecom
