Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of windows in various residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of building structures and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The successful candidate will demonstrate precision in fitting windows to ensure energy efficiency, security, and aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities



Install, repair, and replace windows using hand tools and power tools. Work with masonry materials when installing windows in brick or stone structures. Perform painting tasks as necessary to finish installations or repairs. Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including roofers for installations involving upper-storey windows. Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed windows to ensure functionality and safety. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Window Fitter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window installation. Ability to plumb windows accurately for optimal performance. Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards related to window fitting. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods. Hold a CSCS card Hold a full clean driving license Preferably have you own white van, racked and able to transport goods
