Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fencing Contractor to undertake a variety of projects on self-employed basis. Must own a van and tools. The role involves working on-site across diverse trades, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing specialised tasks within residential, commercial, or industrial settings, contributing to the successful completion of projects in a timely manner. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople to utilise their expertise across multiple disciplines while working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision and attention to detail. Carry out roofing repairs and installations, ensuring waterproofing and durability standards are met. Conduct construction painting, preparing surfaces and applying finishes according to specifications. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with safety regulations and building codes. Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring with accuracy. Operate welding equipment to join metals securely for structural or decorative purposes. Handle electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting in compliance with electrical standards. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Must be experienced for fencing jobs with minimum 3 years of experience. Must have customer and employer references as they will be checked and verified. Must own van and tools Must be registered with UTR number. Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work or fabrication is essential. Demonstrable ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across various trades. Previous experience working on residential, commercial or industrial sites is preferred. Strong understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites. Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans or specifications accurately. Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
