We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, mechanical systems, and welding techniques, with an emphasis on safety and precision. The ideal applicant will have experience working with schematics and hand tools, as well as a solid foundation in construction and maintenance practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the fire protection industry.
Duties
Install and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with industry standards and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify faults or leaks.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system modifications for compliance purposes.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work.
Experience
Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or similar role within the construction or maintenance sector (2-3 years experience)
Proficiency in the use of various hand tools and power tools.
Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to fire suppression systems.
Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of plumbing principles and system assembly.
Experience working with construction materials and performing maintenance tasks on complex piping systems.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to system installation.
