We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and their components, ensuring safety and functionality for our clients.

Duties

Install and repair garage doors, openers, and related hardware. Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues with garage door systems, including electrical components and mechanical parts. Fabricate custom parts as needed to complete repairs or installations. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Read and interpret schematics to understand complex systems. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all job sites.

Skills

Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to garage door installation and repair. Strong understanding of electrical systems related to garage door openers. Ability to fabricate components as required for specific installations or repairs. Knowledge of masonry techniques for proper installation of door frames. Basic painting skills for touch-ups on installed doors or frames. Competence in plumbing tasks that may be necessary during installations. Familiarity with roofing principles as they relate to the installation of overhead doors. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
