An exciting career opportunity has arisen at Shirley Park Golf Club. Our 18 hole golf course is set near to London, and although traditionally a parkland course, it was originally half heathland. We are in the middle of a woodland management plan, where we are slowly restoring more aspects of its heathland origins. We have also recently installed a full electrical Rainbird irrigation system, which along with the recent machinery investments, will continue to improve Shirley Park Golf Club.
We are now looking for an experienced greenkeeper to compliment the improvements within the team here. We are not necessarily looking for qualifications, but are defiantly looking for some greenkeeping experience to help progress the team further.
We are treated very well here at Shirley Park, something which current and past staff members always comment on. Free meals with a wide choice of foods are always available, and requests are nearly always met, this is a big selling point that we feel is worth mentioning. We provide our team with all they need, from uniform to technology and we are always open to people preferences in this field if it helps them feel happy here. We are a team of 6 who operate much like a close family, Trust, honesty and integrity are qualities which will be required to fit in with the team here.
Additional training and qualifications is vital for career progression in this industry, and something we value in our staff. Trips away on training days, extra qualifications and the yearly trip to BTME at Harrogate are almost compulsory. This allows all staff to gain more knowledge and grow as their greenkeeping career develops.
If you think you're a fit for a team or want to be part of our valued staff, don't hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to meet you.
