Job Description

Our drivers play a key part in our business delivering an excellent service to our customers. Artic lorry drivers are a critical part of our business and are recognised and rewarded for the quality of their work they perform every.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be a Class 1 driver working on an Artic lorry delivering and collecting non hazardous waste, wood and plasterboard into and from commercial sites. The work is varied and has a requirement to stop in the Artic overnight on odd occasions.

Experience with a walking floor Artic is a must

Key Responsibilities

Completing daily vehicle checks in line with the company procedure to ensure they are road worthy Reporting vehicle defects immediately in line with company procedure Ensure all paperwork is completed in line with customer requirements Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and presentable Ensuring that the vehicle is equipped, legal & Safe Responsibility of managing the walking floor Ensuring all relevant documentation is in place before leaving site Use electronic devises to record customer delivery and collection information as required Adopt a good customer service attitude and approach, acting with integrity and in a positive and courteous manner Drive and abide by road traffic transport legislation, comply with Drivers Hours and Rules and Working Time regulations Adhere to Company Policy and processes Ensuring the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel and that the Artics are clean and in good working order at all times. Any other duties as and when required by management

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

C+E Category licence with no more than 6 points DCPC Card/qualification Previous Digital tachograph Experience Experience Driving HGV Vehicles, using walking floors

SKILLS/ ABILITIES

Attention to detail Good communication skills; written and verbal Physically fit; all tasks require a degree of walking, standing, lifting or stretching. Some heavy lifting may be involved Basic numeracy and literacy Attention to detail

Pay: 44,000.00-46,000.00 per year
